THE 15 PRAYERS OF SAINT BRIDGET
One Year
The
fifteen daily drops of Jesus Blood that will destroy the hard armor of your soul.
We invite you to accompany us in praying these prayers during a whole year. You
can start on any day of the year. It would make us feel very happy to know who
have commenced it (We have already received emails telling us they have started.
Will you accompany us?) Our email is at the bottom of the page. God Bless You.
Saint Bridget received two sets of prayers from Our Lord Jesus Christ and
another set from Our Mother the Holy Immaculate Virgin Mary. One of the sets of
Our Lord we pray for one year (those are the prayers that appear hear on this
page), while the other set we pray for twelve years (see the link at the end).
From Our Mother she received the daily devotion to her Seven Sorrows. Our Lord
and the Holy Virgin promised many things through Saint Bridget of Sweden to the
souls that pray these prayers that we must strive to make them well known. For
that reason, we ask you to divulge them between your family and friends.
Prayer
Saint Bridget, we beg you to reach for us from the Lord the daily perseverance
to pray these prayers for the Holy Wounds of Jesus Christ. Bring us from his
Divine Mercy the privilege to meditate them and their spiritual advancement.
Intercede in front of the Lord so we will enjoy with joyfulness the promises
contained, through the mediation of Our Holy Mother. Amen.
How can you copy the prayers?

The fifteen prayers (the 15 each day) must be prayed daily for one year for the
promises to be fulfilled. They cannot be missed one day. If one day is missed,
all PRIVILEGES will be lost (even if you are at the end of the twelfth month. If
you missed one day, it’s no good. In case you forget, you must do them between
12:00 midnight until dawn). They should be restarted from the beginning praying
all 15 prayers for one year. Supposing that in one year you will pray 5480
prayers. You must pray with devotion, concentrating in the words being
pronounced. The prayers are said mentally, in other words, reading them. They
are prayed individually, not in a community. Each person must pray them by
themselves.
Pope Pious IX declared knowledge of these prayers. In this manner, the Holy
Pontiff admitted the authenticity of this prayer for the good of the souls; and
signed the approval on May 31, 1862. This declaration from Saint Pious IX was
confirmed with tangible and concrete acts. The promises have already been
fulfilled in favor of many persons who have prayed the prayers. Also, many
supernatural events have happened. Through this medium, God has let it be known
of the true worthiness of these prayers and promises.
Those who visit the Church of Saint Paul in Rome can still contemplate the
Miraculous Cross, placed on top of the Sanctuary, in the Chapel of the Holy
Sacrament. This Miraculous Crucifix was sculpted by Pierre Cavallini. It is the
same crucifix in front of which Saint Bridget was kneeling when she received
these 15 Prayers from Our Lord Jesus Christ himself.
For a long time, Saint Bridget had wanted to know how many scourges Our Lord had
received in His Passion. One day Jesus appeared, telling her: "I received in My
Body five thousand, four hundred eighty scourges; which are 5,480 lashes. (Let’s
remember that there were 70 executioners who scourged him. They would take turns.
Pilate had promised to let him go after the punishment was over, and the Jews
bribed the executioners to continue until he was dead, but Jesus would not die,
and they kept on scourging him. That’s the reason for the great amount of lashes
and the deplorable condition in which He carried the Cross). If you want to
truly honor them, say the Our Father and the Hail Mary 15 times, with the
following prayers, during a whole year. At the end of the year, you will have
venerated each one of My Wounds”. (Our Lord himself dictated the prayers to
Saint Bridget.)
Note: Afterwards the Gloria was added (to the Holy Trinity).
The Promises
The Crucified promised to Saint Bridget the following privileges, with the
condition that she was faithful to the daily recitation of the Divine Office.

present with his Grace.
SOMETHING IMPORTANT BEFORE STARTING
We recommend that you ask for help from your family members that are in
Purgatory, because they are very interested that you persevere. You must know
that the devil is always trying to make you fail. Don’t leave it for the evening,
be very careful with the evenings, sometimes it’s impossible because of your day
commitments, but try to prevent it as much as you can. It happened to us a few
times, sitting and dressed, but too late, we would fall asleep in every Hail Mry,
we would wake up and in the following prayer, the same happened. It would take
us three times longer than the regular time. On other occasions, it helped us a
lot when feeling tired and leaving the prayers for the evening, to do the sign
of the cross on our foreheads. It will take the sleepiness away for a few
minutes, and then it comes back. You must do this repeatedly, without saying the
prayers, as long as it is needed.
Don’t despair if on occasions, while you are praying, you find that you are
distracted, just keep on going and finish. It is valid.
We want to let you know that at the end we were successful, and finished it. You
too can do it!
Prayers
To begin, let’s invoke the Sweet Guest of our souls.
The Sign of the Cross.
Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire
of your love. Send forth yourSpirit and they shall be created. And You shall
renew the face of the earth.
Let’s pray:
O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the
faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy
His consolations, Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.
A Creed to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, making an act of Faith.
1st Prayer
O Jesus! You have proved that You have no greater desire than to be among men,
even assuming human nature at the fullness of time for the love of men. I recall
all the sufferings of Your life especially Your Passion.
I remember, O Lord, that during the Last Supper with Your disciples, having
washed their feet, You gave them Your Most Precious Body and Blood, and, while
consoling them, You foretold Your coming Passion.
I remember the sadness and bitterness which You experienced in Your Soul as You
said, My Soul is sorrowful even unto death.
I remember all the fear, anguish and pain that You did suffer in Your delicate
Body before the torment of the Crucifixion, when, after having prayed three
times, bathed in a sweat of blood, You were betrayed by Judas, arrested by the
people of a nation You had chosen and elevated, accused by false witnesses and
unjustly judged by three judges.
I remember that You were despoiled of Your garments and clothed in those of
derision, that Your Face and Eyes were covered, that You were beaten, crowned
with thorns, a reed placed in Your Hands, that You were crushed with blows and
overwhelmed with insults and outrages. In memory of all these pains and
sufferings which You endured before Your Passion on the Cross, grant me before
my death a true contrition, a sincere and entire confession, worthy satisfaction
and the remission of all my sins. Amen.
Our Father, Hail Mary, and Gloria.
2nd Prayer
O Jesus! I remember the horror and sadness which You endured when Your enemies
surrounded You, and by thousands of insults, spits, blows, lacerations and other
unheard-of cruelties tormented You. In consideration of these torments and
insulting words, I beg You to deliver me from all my enemies, visible and
invisible, and to bring me, under Your protection, to the perfection of eternal
salvation. Amen.
Our Father, Hail Mary, and Gloria.
3rd Prayer
O Jesus! I remember the very bitter pain You did suffer when the executioners
nailed Your Sacred Hands and Feet to the Cross by blow after blow with big blunt
nails, and, not finding You in a sad enough state, to satisfy their cruelty they
enlarged Your Wounds, and added pain to pain, stretching Your Body on the Cross
and dislocated Your Bones by pulling Them on all sides. I beg of You by the
memory of this most loving suffering of the Cross to grant me the grace to love
You. Amen.
Our Father, Hail Mary, and Gloria.
4th Prayer
O Jesus! I Remember the bruises You suffered and the weakness of Your Body,
which was distended to such a degree that never was there pain like Yours. From
the crown of Your Head to the soles of Your Feet there was not one spot on Your
Body which was not in torment. Yet, for getting all Your sufferings, You did not
cease to pray to Your Heavenly Father for Your enemies, saying: Father, forgive
them, for they know not what they do.
Through this great mercy and in memory of this suffering, grant that the
remembrance of Your most bitter Passion may effect in us a perfect contrition
and the remission of all our sins. Amen.
Our Father, Hail Mary, and Gloria.
5th Prayer
O Jesus! I remember the sadness which You experienced when, foreseeing those who
would be damned for their sins, You suffered bitterly over these hopeless, lost
and unfortunate sinners.
Through this abyss of compassion and pity and especially through the goodness
which You displayed to the good thief when You said to him, This day you will be
with Me in Paradise, I beg of You that at the hour of my death to show me mercy.
Amen.
Our Father, Hail Mary, and Gloria.
6th Prayer
O Jesus! I remember the grief which You suffered when, like a common criminal,
You were raised and fastened to the Cross, when all Your relatives and friends
abandoned You, except Your Beloved Mother who remained close to You during Your
agony and Whom You entrusted to Your faithful disciple when You said,
Woman, behold Your son. Son behold your Mother.
I beg You by the sword of sorrow which pierced the soul of Your Holy Mother, to
have compassion on me in all my afflictions and tribulations, both of body and
spirit, and to assist me in all my trials and especially at the hour of my death.
Amen.
Our Father, Hail Mary, and Gloria.
7th Prayer
O Jesus! I remember Your profound gesture of love from the Cross when You said,
I thirst, and Your suffering from the thirst for the salvation of the human race.
I beg You to inflame in our hearts the desire to tend toward perfection in all
our actions and to extinguish in us all wordly desires. Amen.
Our Father, Hail Mary, and Gloria.
8th Prayer
O Jesus! I remember the bitterness of the gall and vinegar which You tasted on
the Cross for love of us. Grant us the grace to receive worthily Your Precious
Body and Blood during our life and at the hour of our death that It may be a
remedy of consolation for our souls. Amen.
Our Father, Hail Mary, and Gloria.
9th Prayer
O Jesus! I remember the pain You endured when, immersed in an ocean of
bitterness at the approach of death, insulted, outraged by the people, You cried
out in a loud voice that You were abandoned by Your Father, saying: My God, My
God, why have You forsaken Me? Through this anguish I beg You not to abandon me
in the terrors and pains of my death. Amen.
Our Father, Hail Mary, and Gloria.
10th Prayer
O Jesus! I remember that for our sakes You were immersed into an abyss of
suffering. In consideration of the enormity of Your Wounds, teach me to keep,
through pure love, Your Commandments, which are a wide and easy path for those
who love You. Amen.
Our Father, Hail Mary, and Gloria.
11th Prayer
O Jesus! I remember Your Wounds which penetrated to the very marrow of Your
Bones and to the depth of Your Being. Draw me away from sin and hide me in Your
Wounds. Amen.
Our Father, Hail Mary, and Gloria.
12th Prayer
O Jesus! I remember the multitude of Wounds which afflicted You from Head to
Foot, torn and reddened by the spilling of Your Precious Blood. O great and
universal pain which You suffered in Your Flesh for love of us! What is there
You could have done for us which You have not done?
May the fruit of Your sufferings be renewed in my soul by the faithful
remembrance of Your Passion and may Your love increase in my heart each day
until I see You in eternity, You Who are the treasury of every real good and joy,
which I beg You to grant me in Heaven. Amen.
Our Father, Hail Mary, and Gloria.
13th Prayer
O Jesus! I remember the pain You endured when all Your strength, both moral and
physical, was entirely exhausted; You bowed Your Head, saying: It is consummated.
Through this anguish and grief, I beg You to have mercy on me at the hour of my
death, when my mind will be greatly troubled and my soul will be in anguish.
Amen.
Our Father, Hail Mary, and Gloria.
14th Prayer
O Jesus! I remember the simple and humble recommendation You made of Your Soul
to Your Eternal Father, saying, "Father, into Your Hands I commend My Spirit,"
and when, Your Body all torn and Your Heart broken, You expired. By this
precious death, I beg You to comfort me and give me help to resist the devil,
the flesh and the world, so that, being dead to the world, I may live for You
alone. I beg of You at the hour of my death to receive me. Amen.
Our Father, Hail Mary, and Gloria.
15th Prayer
O Jesus! I remember the abundant outpouring of Blood which You shed. From Your
Side, pierced with a lance by a soldier, Blood and Water poured forth until
there was not left in Your Body a single Drop; and finally the very substance of
Your Body withered and the marrow of Your Bones dried up.
Through this bitter Passion and through the outpouring of Your Precious Blood, I
beg You to pierce my heart so that my tears of penance and love may be my bread
day and night. May I be entirely converted to You; may my heart be Your
perpetual resting place; may my conversation be pleasing to You; and may the end
of my life be so praiseworthy that I may merit Heaven and there with Your saints
praise You forever. Amen.
Our Father, Hail Mary, and Gloria.
Brothers in Christ:
There is a moment in the Passion that is very unknown and sorrowful for Jesus.
We invite you to meditate on this and whenever you can pray an Our Father
accompanying Christ in that sorrowful moment. This should not be included in the
daily recitation of these prayers, since it does not belong to them.
When Jesus arrives to the Golgotha, at 11:45 a.m. he is ashen, destroyed, so
bloodied, that it’s pitiful to look at him. They throw Him on the floor, mock
Him saying “King of the Jews, wait till we build your throne”, but He himself
lies down on the cross where they were going to measure Him for the support for
arms and feet. Later they take him about 70 steps to the north, to a pit in the
rock, throw him in there, where He lies crying of pain because of the fall. They
leave him at that place for quite a while, while they prepare for the
crucifixion. It’s there, in that desolate moment, in the pit of the rock, that
we ask you to accompany Him with your prayers.
Recommendations:
1.Pray before nighttime, if you leave it for later, then you might be too tired
from the days works and it’s easy for you to forget to pray or you might fall
asleep.
2. The prayers take approximately 25 minutes; the more concentrated you are, the
faster it goes.
3. The 15 prayers are prayed daily (not one per day).
4. In the case of grave illness, another person can pray sitting down by the
side of the bed and the sick person must repeat them mentally. Only when the
person is gravely ill.
5. It is prayed in front of a Crucifix, or a stamp of a Cross, or a picture of
Jesus or with the mind fixed in his Divine Face and His Holy Wounds.
